Don't be discouraged. Sometimes you have better days than others. It's in all

of us. We are only human. Lack of sleep can be a huge factor in your day even

your workouts. Keep chugging along ....you are doing great!

Charlotte, don't get discouraged. From your recent posts, you've

been working very hard, and making great improvements. Sometimes I

think that is your body's way of telling you that you need a day

off. I try to work out every day, but sometimes if I notice that I

am not working up to my best ability, I'll skip the next day to rest.

Usually a day of rest will make my workout SOAR and I make huge

strides by leaps and bounds!

Hi Charlotte! I have been working out every day,and a little of

weight lifting every other day, trying to push it to the limit 'til

we go to LA. The problem for me is I work at an elementary school,

and we just went back this last week. I'm afraid that my body is

having a rough time deciding if it wants to workout in the early am

(5:00), or at night. I hope that I can get back into the swing of

things soon! I would like to do it in the morning, but it's so hard

to roll over, and put on workout clothes. LOL!

Dispite that I don't work, I understand about not wanting to roll out of bed

to do it. You should see me dawdle in the morning eating breakfast just so I

don't have to go workout! I make excuses and whine a little to myself and

sometimes I even resort to tricking myself to work out. I make myself

workout the very second thing I do in the morning. I can't do anything else

until I do that....it's the only way that works for me otherwise I'd find

every excuse. Like tomorrow, I go to the Dr. I'll get back in time to do the

workout....but it'll probably take a bribe or two to get in the room. The

Truth is: I like " having worked out " not the actual working out. Does that

make sense?

Gee, I wish, I wish I was going with you!

-I think that they could do an infomercial just based on this group's

message board alone. The loyalty speaks for itself! Of course I

don't think that I've ever met anyone who's tried Taebo and didn't

love it! Well I guess it's an evening workout foer me... I was

snoring z's right through the alarm clock! My little dog woke me up,

licking my cheek trying desparately to wake me up to take her

outside! LOL! Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow!

Good luck at the Dr.'s tomorrow!

Very good point. I may skip the theme too. I was thinking blues clues. But

who knows next year he may like them even more and I won't want to do it two

years in a row!! Hmm... Don't think we'll be doing a theme. But I will

decorate anyway :)

hi charlotte - yes i consider the firms 5DAYABS to be intermediate/advanced

ab workouts. ive been working my abs alot for quite a few months and i find

the firms ab routines to be challenging. one reason is that they move at a

fast pace and there is not much instruction during the routines. ya know,

billy has his fabulous ABS & GLUTES which is what i started out with -- while

it also moves at a very fast pace, billys instruction is much better.

I considered getting that one until someone said that it was very fast paced

without a lot of pauses between the exercises (because they were spliced

together). Tell me your opinion about the tapes, and a little description,

if you can. I want something I can do before I do Tae-bo...that's not too

long. I don't want to get tired out before I even start.

sounds like you are mixing up ABS & GLUTES and ULTIMATE ABS. ULTIMATE ABS

is the one that is made up of clips spliced together.

ABS & GLUTES is not.

hmmm... well in that case, i wouldnt recommend ABS & GLUTES to you then. it

is a 30 minute workout.... not 5-10 minute segments like the firms 5DAYABS

is.

18 minutes, more or less. I still know it's progress because I got further

on the tape than usual. :) Lots of floor work, and I could do some of it. I

got " jettisoned " when he did a complicated (for me) kick and punch combo...

I'lll get it next time.

Okay, you have to imagine how I do this. I workout mirror image. Which

means when he goes left I go right like in a mirror. I'm a bit dilexic and

this is the only way I can follow his moves. Well, it was a step forward

and kick and then step back. That I could do. Then he turned right and and

kicked with the same leg. Well, to me it looks like the opposite leg but as

I tried to do the move, it just wouldn't work for the step. Then he added

the arms...and well, I couldn't quite figure out the arm/leg and rhythm of

it all at once. (And he kept turning right and then front and then left and

front-- I only figured out what the problem was after he went on to

something else....I'll get it next time. :)
