Guest guest
We have not taken new Medicare patients since we opened. It is just like not taking any other insurance. Currently we have just 5% Medicare in our practice. We will see people who age into Medicare. We just say sorry we aren't accepting any new Medicare patients. We've developed a very heavy percentage of geriatric patients over the years. Recently, some of us now have space for some new patients and I'd like to rebalance our panel by only adding working age adults and pediatric patients. However, we're concerned about backlash from annoyed Medicare patients who've been waiting to join the practice. Has this been a problem at other practices?
