Guest guest
Friends, As I told you I have finally been approved for my husbands insurance (applied back in Jan.). I found my old doctor from before all this took place for she had moved her pratice. Not able to see her until the 28th of this month. But at least there is a date and with someone I trust. I have had a really bad week between pain, not sleeping and then falling over with sleep, and my brain fog. Speaking of brain fog, I had jury duty scheduled and so I looked online like you are suppose to the day before and found it had been rescheduled. Well, I have been thinking it was the end of this month and it turns out it was the 3rd. The way I found that out was I got a nasty note from the government saying that I had failed to appear and that if I didn't call I could face a fine and/or imprisonment. LOL Well, it is rescheduled now for June 15th. God, I hope I don't forget it this time. I emailed the infor to myself. My son in Denver is graduating and my daughter has purchased me a ticket. I am hoping to take a laptop with me. Well, you all take care and may God bless you all with health and strength. Norene
Guest guest
I am fortunate that I'm half deaf. I get out of jury duty every time. Can't understand a word a person says to me if they are more than 6 feet away and on top of that, they have to enunciate VERY well! ) Earth is my home and animals are my family. Life is my religion and love is my example. Peace and freedom belongs to us all. > Norene, > I would think that you would be excused anyway. Is there a form to > fill out to send to them stating that you have Fibromyalgia? If you > have brain fog, are not able to sit for long periods of time, and > have to take pain medication, they will excuse you. Guest guest
Do you wear hearing aids, may be what you could do is get an hearing exam and maybe get digital hearing aids, they are so wonderful. I am so happy that they are so much better than the analog aids. It is much quieter and I don't get drowned out by background noises. The only problem now, I am not used to a lot of sounds, like the birds chirping(which drives me insane), dogs barking and hearing people voices at a long distance. I know they are very expensive, but the beauty of digitals, you do not have to get a replacement aid, all they have to do when your hearing detoriates is reprogram it. I think that is so awesomely cool! Ruth Smitycrochet@... Smitycrochet@... Ruth.@...
Guest guest
Wow only one!! I don't think I have that luxury of having one any more. Maybe when I was a yougin, I could get away with it, but not anymore. I also have been wearing aids since I was about 4 or 5. I think it may be 5 or 4. All I know, my parents told me I had refused to wear them when i was either three or four. I guess I already knew at that age, there was a stigma towards them, but once I had them on, I was able to talk. I started saying complete sentences once I had them on. I actually learned how to talk within a year. I think that is pretty good for someone who never talked before. Without them, I hardly was talking or making actual sentences like a normal toddler would. Anyway, yes, I am slowly getting used to the sounds that I am not used to hearing and I know it will take a few months to adjust. The only bad thing, I hear too many people's converstations at work now, and that, I really do not care for. But it is so much better than the analog and I don't have to deal with all of these back ground noises either. Although, I still rely on lip reading and watching the person talk. Actually, I use the phone now with the digital, the only bad thing it whistles like crazy so once I have my new molds, it will be much better. Anyway, at least I know I am not the only one out there who wears hearing aids. Ruth Smitycrochet@... Smitycrochet@... Ruth.@...
