I cannot even consider such a move, but it might be just the thing for someone on the list, so I asked permission to post it here. Please note that I have not worked enough for this agency to really know them well, so please do your own homework. Personally, I have never had problems with payment or communication when I worked with them, but a small number of the total reviews on payment practices lists are negative, while the majority are positive. Dawn Montague POSITION: In-house French to English Translator Scientific, Life Sciences Translation Specialist Job type: Full Time Location: France, Paris region Working hours: 09.00 to 18.00 Starting date: to start immediately Duration: 12 months (possibility of further collaboration on a freelance basis) MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: · Translate scientific, medical and/or technical documentation into English from early product development through to submission, review, approval and post-marketing. This includes translations related to line extensions, marketed products and the update of regulatory documentation · Manage all assigned translations, including planning, project management and liaising with in-house clients · Major responsibility: provide translations as per internal guidelines and regulatory requirements, with emphasis on quality and within agreed timelines · Other responsibilities: keep track of own workload by issuing a weekly status and alert Department Head on any job-related issues KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: · English mother tongue – excellent command of French.
