We work a reverse rotating schedule with 6 to 7 day stretches and only 1 weekend off a month right now. The big hold up right now is that in a two week pay period, 1st week would be 48hrs (by law 8hrs OT), and 2nd week would only be 36hrs (not full-time). This hold up is supposedly due to stipulations by the NLRB. My question is how do other centers around the country do it then? Also any centers that have gone to this type of schedule and have positive feedback, could you please send me some information? Any help that you fellow dispatchers may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. We are only trying to improve our work environment, and we love our work.
