The first-ever Registered Dietitian Day will be celebrated on March

10, 2008. This is the day to showcase your expertise as a food and nutrition

professional. Here are some ideas to celebrate this monumental day:

Celebration Ideas:

. Request the Registered Dietitian Day graphics to create a banner

featuring " Registered Dietitian: Nutrition Facts from the Expert. " Send an

e-mail to nnm@....

. Highlight the contributions of RDs in your employee or community

newsletter. See Registered Dietitian " Sample Newsletter Article " at

www.eatright.org/rdday.

. Present certificates of appreciation to RDs at a special " thank

you " lunch or reception for all staff.

. Make the handouts " Top Ten Reasons Why Consulting with a RD Can

Benefit You " and " RDs Bring Food and Nutrition Expertise to the Table " available

to patients or clients. Both are available to download at

www.eatright.org/rdday.

. Make a tribute gift contribution to the American Dietetic

Association Foundation in the name of an RD.

Showcase Registered Dietitian Day with a gift for yourself or your

staff.
