Guest guest
I went and looked into my library, and I've got Ultimate Abs....It's over in the advanced section...I must have looked at it and decided that it looked too hard for me. I will look for the ABs and Glutes. It should only be a 5 minute workout for me. Charlotte " Write it on your heart that every day is the best day of the year. " -- RE: workout report > I considered getting that one until someone said that it was > very fast paced > without a lot of pauses between the exercises (because they were spliced > together). sounds like you are mixing up ABS & GLUTES and ULTIMATE ABS. ULTIMATE ABS is the one that is made up of clips spliced together. ABS & GLUTES is not. > Tell me your opinion about the tapes, and a little description, > if you can. I want something I can do before I do Tae-bo...that's not too > long. hmmm... well in that case, i wouldnt recommend ABS & GLUTES to you then. it is a 30 minute workout.... not 5-10 minute segments like the firms 5DAYABS is. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
Charlotte, Just a suggestion for your abs, It may be a littel " cheesy " but Tony Little Tapes are a beginner, intermediate and Advance all on one tape. You just do more reps for each level. There is a bar at the bottom of the screen and you stop when you reach your level. But he does go at a slower pace. The one I have is mixed with abs, and weights. I think there maybe one more towards abs, with little glutes. But it has been awhile since I checked those out. I love Tae- bo MUCH better. Not sure where you can get them either, I will see if I can check around the internet. Just my 2 Cents. Well I Haven't worked out since July 18th. Just don't feel like getting up in the morning when I hate my job right now. Well I will keep trying though. I feel so much better when I do. Beckie who slacked off and only made it to #27 in the summer 100. > > I went and looked into my library, and I've got Ultimate Abs....It's over > in the advanced section...I must have looked at it and decided that it > looked too hard for me. Guest guest
I found his web site: Here is a link to the workout videos. One ab and lower back, one hips, butt, thighs, total body, and a set of 4. Hope this helps: http://www.tonylittle.com/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=tl/prodbrws.html? lvl1=vid Beckie > > > > I went and looked into my library, and I've got Ultimate > Abs....It's over > > in the advanced section...I must have looked at it and decided that > it > > looked too hard for me. Guest guest
> I went and looked into my library, and I've got Ultimate > Abs....It's over > in the advanced section.. hi charlotte - ultimate abs surely is an advanced workout. its not just ab work but lots of cardio too. billy says that abs & glutes is advanced as well, but if you go at your own pace and do as many reps as you can then you can make the workout your own (as you should do with all workouts anyway). during my workout today billy kept stressing that him and the crew are just guides to help us on our way -- they dont expect us to be able to do every thing that they do right away if at all -- and that we are to modify the moves to suit us. so i know that you will keep this in mind for all of your workouts. and did you say that you are wanting to do your gut and butt work before your taebo? are you warming up first? i know that there are absolutely no warmups on the firms 5DAYABS. i suggest that you switch it around and do your taebo, then do your gut and butt. if you work your abs/glutes first then you are going in cold and can injure yourself but also you are tiring your abs/glutes so that they cant perform 100% during your cardio workout. your abs and glutes are used extensively during taebo (and cardio in general) to support the body. if you did your gut/butt after cardio then you should feel better about both activities, perform better and get better results. while you are doing your cardio activities, suck in your abs and squeeze your butt as much as possible for support and also for extra toning benefits. > I will look for the ABs and Glutes. It should only > be a 5 minute workout for me. well, hmmm... im thinking that 5DAYABS will be much better suited to what you want to do than anything else. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). But it has been awhile since I checked those out. hey beckie! i think that these must be the same tony little workouts that i have.... and i happen to have them available for trade at the moment if anyone is interested: Sharpen Your Image: Stomach Workout *AND* Tighten, Firm & Smile: Hips, Buttocks & Thighs Tony Little about 75 minutes including instruction, warmup, stretching, workout and cooldown Non-impact exercise programs. Tony starts both workouts with demonstration of the exercises that will be performed and he gives all fitness levels the opportunity to participate in the workouts by using a timer and indicating when beginners and intermediates should stop doing each exercise. Equipment needed: mat and dumbells for intermediate/advanced exercisers. two VHS tapes tony covers all of the basics and takes the time to instruct -- good workouts for absolute beginners! *~*~*~*~* Carolyn in ONT Canada --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Guest guest
22 minutes on the Bag Intro. Not great or even an improvement but considering the shoulder injury did not give me problems....and this week has been lighter workouts....not too bad. Shoulder is better, but I did play Civ. III last night. Pain came back....when will I learn? Oh, well, the game really will be put up now. I promise. Yesterday was a bad physical day 'cause I went to bed late and then my husband woke me up about 4 times, first one thing then another. Well, I don't do so good when I don't get sleep. So no sleep, no workout and a crummy day yesterday. Today, I feel soooo much better. Welcome to all the newcomers! In case you're wondering why I do this " Daily Report " ?...well,....I do it to keep me motivated. I can't cheat if I know I ve got to report it. It's a motivation to work out for just a few more minutes when I want to quit. Nobody else does a daily report besides me....I just like the accountability aspect of it. And the other regulars on the list don't seem to mind (they humor me in my maddness) ....you can always delete them unread if you want. I don't mind. And Shhhhhh, I won't even tell. Guest guest
I like the image of the dog with a bone. Yes, the reports help keep me from saying " not today, honey, I'm too .......tired/mad/etc. " It'd be easy to give up....I've got a dr's excuse if I want it...but do I really, really want to spend the next 45 years on the sofa? or in a wheelchair? or house bound? This way is harder, and I don't always want to, but it keeps me functioning at near normal ranges. I don't care if I don't lose weight or look thinner. Heck, I just wanta to be able to keep walking down to the mailbox every day. Charlotte " Housework is so tedious. " Unknown -- RE: workout report hi charlotte!! keep giving us your reports!! if it helps you then i, for one, am thrilled to read them. besides, i also like to hear about your progress. i think that your determination is fabulous and that is what will get you through! be like a dog with a bone! stubbornly hang on tight and dont let go of your goals and dreams. *~*~*~*~* Carolyn --- Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
