Guest guest
Not to sound like a total scrooge, but the Dietetics field in general gives enough away already. I also counsel at a gym, and the first meeting involves obtaining their goals and medical history. Then I give them the price list and a very small instruction on how to keep a three day diet history. That's all, or I have found the the majority don't come back. Why should they? The got what they needed. After that, teaching on healthy eating really is right up your alley. I look at thier diet history and talk about the glaring holes in groups they might be missing. And send them back out again to do the same thing..... There is a very large amount of tools out there for teaching......If you want specific information, please feel free to email or call. I will be giving a complimentary initial consult and would like to know what should be covered in this initial meeting. Also, I need recommendations on where to find materials (such as diets and other handout materials) that any of you might have found helpful. thank you so much Alster MS, RD --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
I suggest assessing the client's readiness to change before going much further in the process. Others on this list can suggest their best resources to use for this, if you need them. I also agree that a price list for your services is essential, as well as a short bio and headshot, so clients can get to know you and refer you to their friends. Best of Success to you! Marilyn E. Guest guest
I would do a screening form of some sort with a rating system targeting the sort of patient you want. They answer a lot of questions and you give them a score re: how helpful nutritional counseling could be for them in their situation..... Followed by a suggested " plan of action " and a specific " therapy package " that is discounted for prepaid sessions. Mick .
