I have had only 2 of planned 42 chemo treatments and I feel like I have been hit by a Mack truck all the time. All I want to do is sleep. My grandson who lives with us had a uri when I got my 1st treatment and 3 days after the treatment I had a whopping case of bronchitis complete with 103 fever and terrible cough. 2 more weeks at my office and then the treatments really start in earnest. The 1st 2 were done as a “priming treatment” to see how my WBC count would respond and it dropped from 11.2 to 2.4 after only 2 treatments. He say we may have to space them out a little more. He put the one from last Tuesday and Friday on hold until this week to see if the WBC count comes back. Even with the bad infection count only got to 6.2 but 94% neuts. It is going to be a long summer. Dr. Beth Sullivan, DO
