My experience with this for three years now is that it has to run its course,

and be glad you got a diagnosis.

My first bout of it I spent the $200.00 co pay to go to the ER only to be

scoffed at and mistreated. They diagnosed me with a sore throat, and insinuated

that the ER was for emergencies, and this was no emergency. Later that same day,

the thrush bloomed all over in my mouth and looked like I was eating Qtips, so

my brother took me to an urgent care which only cost another $50.00 bucks, and

the doctor took one look and said " my man you have thrush! " Then he wanted the

names of the docs who had diagnosed me with the pure genious diagnosis of sore

throat, but then he said " never mind, I dont even want to know... "

Since then when it comes, Sharon calls my doctor and tells her I have it again,

and they call in the Fluconizole. The swish and swallow just didn't seem to do a

darn thing for me. Hang in there, dear friend. Love, Bobby

I know that particular happy dance. A dental hygenist broke the rim of my

jawbone with her ultrasonic device a few years back... It hurt so bad for over

60 days, I dreampt of sticking the barrel of my 45 in there and blowing my jaw

off, (during an Elk hunting trip) thankfully it was only a bad dream, and the

next day the razor sharp piece of bone popped to the surface, and I fished it

out with tweezers. I did that very same happy dance. There is Nothing like

relief from a foreign body. God Bless you. Love, Bobby

I had something that may had been thrush in my mouth. I would swish

hydrogen peroxide around my mouth and it went away fairly quickly.

I'm not positive that is what is was but my tongue was whitish and

sore. Anyone else try this?

I didnt, but next time I get thrush I am going to. I read that peroxide is a

strong oxidizer, duh, and thats why it gets rid of skunk odor, by literally

destroying the oily substance that the skunk sprays (Ardis' dog heather got

sprayed a couple of weeks ago, no fun no fun at all) . So I cannot imagine a

fungus being able to outlast peroxide. I mean you use bleach as an oxidizer when

you clean with it. You sound like you definatly had thrush, at least that is an

accurate description of how it is when I get it, my tongue hurts, sometimes my

whole mouth including my esophagus, stomach, cheeks, gums etc. Love, bobby
