Guest guest
I had my porta-cath inserted today and just got home from the hospital. They are planning chemo 3x a week for 10 weeks then radiation or gamma knife excision, the oncology surgeon is not sure how he will want to proceed until they see how I do with the chemo. The cath site has to heal for 21 days before they will start the chemo, so I have 3 more weeks in my office to tie up loose ends. I have found PA who can work 1 day a week so that my patients who need more frequent f/u will be able to see someone to get their meds etc. I wish she could spend more time here but to be honest, I never dreamed it would be so much to have her work at the office and 1 day a week is all I can afford right now.. I will keep everyone posted on what is up as I navigate these waters of being a patient instead of a doctor. Dr. Beth Sullivan, DO
