Guest guest
n: Glad to know you made it home safely from "Shallow Alto" (love that!). You bring up a subject I am also concerned about. What's really going to happen with the Medicare drug program? Have you signed up for one of discount programs too? I still haven't because I can't figure out what's the best. Do you also have insurance? I haven't had anything except for Medicare but this coming January I will again be covered by insurance through my employer, the State of Arizona. I'm on long term disablitity from the state so still covered by some of the programs. Anyway this insurance is actually a Medicare Supplement and has a drug ceiling of $2500. That will last a month or so. lol Without supplemental insurance or the Medicare drug program, I have been getting my Neurontin for free from the manufacturer. I'm sure that will change because of the Medicare drug program. What are your thoughts on the Medicare Program and how it's really going to work? OTHERWISE, says the Great Doctor (and he is!) I am "holding my own!" O2 saturation was 99%--I have never done that in my whole life! No wonder he did not seem too worried! I had dinner with dear friends in Palo Alto, or what their friends call: "shallow alto,"and decided to come on home. Got back at 8:30 p.m.! Traffic was ghastly. Morale: do NOT make appointment at Stanford on Friday nor on a HOLIDAY--could not believe that they were open! Love to all of you; I guess you are all stuck with me for a while! n, the PERSEVERING! Dr. Moss was very concerned about my being able to get Copaxone or Avonex on the new stupid Medicare plan, so immediately faxed my data to the California Genetically Handicapped Persons Program, so that I can have my prescriptions! Whew! M.~ Re: Re: Trista?? {{{{{{{{Trista}}}}}}}} Because I care about you, I'll remind you that my symptoms have all been chalked up to that extended nursing. A "noble effort" but... So you be careful. hehehe LOLOL Hugs, Challis Debbie, Thanks. I have good days and not so good. I'm used to getting burning in most spots. I don't like it, but not surprised by it. But, the burning face and head really bothered me. I felt like I had a fever, yet was cool to the touch. Right now it's my left upper back, shoulder, arm and had just on the left side. My left side gives me the most trouble. Once I stop nursing my baby, I'll check into meds for the things that trouble me. But, I'm stubborn and want to nurse as long as he's interested, so it may be awhile. I'll just have to suck it up and suffer till we're done. Funny to have someone say they admire me. LOL. Thank you for that. I suppose sometimes my efforts seem to go unnoticed on the 5 men in my life. Not having a dx yet makes it worse, because I try to talk myself into feeling guilty for not being able to have a spotless house or do more. I feel like I'm not doing enough. But, I've semi accepted that I have to work in little spurts and rest more. Naps daily get me through. I'd never make it without a nap. I appreciate your thoughts and prayers! I think this health thing is a blessing in disguise. An ugly, messed up disguise, but one that brings me growth and teaches me.
