I have been trying to make a lotion using emulsifying wax NF

(Polawax) and every recipe I have seen using it also uses Stearic

Acid. What is the benefit of combining these two and can I leave out

the stearic acid? Also what is a good percentage to start with? I am

trying to make a nice thin lotion with an easy rub in and so far

everything I have made is really thick and gluey almost rubbery! Any

advice is greatly appreciated.
