Guest guest
Are you using the U of Iowa diet or the less restrictive diet from ADA Oct 2006 journal which is alot less restrictive? I have only seen a few people for this and the last two also had gluten intol / celiac which can cause temporary fructose intol. I am not sure why more people have this problem, although I don't think it was tested for much in the past and few hospitals test for it. There was an article a few years ago showing that IBS sx can improve significantly on low fructose diet, perhaps increased awareness. > > Hi All, > > Wondering if anybody has any great words of wisdom to share about Fructose > malabsorption. > > I just got a referral for my first two patients for Fructose Malabsorption > diet consult - I've had one patient in the past, but they didn't want to pay > for more consult time, was a PhD with a MD for a partner, and they decided to > just read the literature I had and do it on their own -- so I'm pretty > familiar with the recommended diet. > > I have the two JADA articles on Fructose Intolerance.
