Guest guest
Just a quick intro. I'm Bonnie S., 51 yrs old, married, working federal employee, and caretaker of two horses and various cats at our mini-farm. I work with lot's of younger fitter military personnel at work, I'm ex-Navy myself. When a group of these youngsters that work in the adjacent office showed me Bill Body For Life book I got interested and decided to join them in getting fit. We all started Oct 1st. I have lost 15 lbs, feel lot's better physically and esteem wise. I'm 5'3 " and had hit 152 lbs. It's been a motivational struggle for me. Hardest has been time management. We do have a small gym at work which is the facility I use. I use my lunch hour to work out but find it hard to stay consistent about it. I would love to have a work-out buddy as I've always found it helps. I'm not completely satisfied with my 1st BFL and will start another right after this one. I know that it's going to be really importent to keep motivated or rather get more motivated so I don't backslide and stop exercising. I think I should get my act together to workout in the AM before starting work. Just the thought of getting up earlier makes me shudder. I get up at 4:30 now, into the barn by 5:00, start my one hour commute at 5:30. I drink a big mug of coffee during my 1 hr commute and reach work starving. Make my breakfast in the office and eat at my desk. I understand that exercising prior to breakfast will maximise weight loss? I know that caffein and long drive really sets me up to be hungry too. Just thinking about hitting the gym first makes my stomach growl! How do you other early risers with long commutes fit in a workout? Are you doing your workouts later in the day? Do any of you exercise in the evening? That is when I have the most free time but I'm a poor sleeper and I'm afraid that exercise prior to bed would cause sleep problems. Suggestions? Bonnie S.
