I'm sure you already know this being a nurse, but the schedule 3 drugs such as

Norco, Vicodin, and Lortab are " poisoned " on purpose. This prevents them from

being even used in a way which adheres to the standard of care. The drug

companies poision them so that they cannot be used to get " high " though many

people kill thier livers trying to do just that, especially in England. IN

American hospitals, they flip a patient a couple of pills so they " feel " taken

care of, but thats about it. If you are in real pain, you need an infusion of

morphine or dilauded or fentynyl.

Most Americans would flip out of they knew that the crayons thier grandkids play

with and opium are of the same toxicity, which is none. Bad things would happen

if you ate a pound of opium and also if you ate a pound of crayons.

The standard of care for opioid analgesics is simple: titrate or 'adjust' the

dose upward until one of two things happen... either relief from pain, or

experience intolerable side effects, like nausea or extreme drowsiness,

respiratory depression, etc.

Many times this would not be possible with schedule 3 drugs because the safe

level of Tylenol is more often reached before the effective dose of opioid is.

I am glad you have real medicine to treat your real pain. Most people here do

not. Love, Bobby

Subject: Attn: Jan...

Jan,

YOU go girl! I believe that most Non-Alcoholic cirrhosis' are caused by a

multitude of things. I have degenerative disk disease and have been on pain

meds with acetaminophen for years. Even AFTER I had the cirrhosis Dx they

wouldn't give me ANYTHING without Tylenol in it! I fought and fought and

FINALLY got someone to listen to me. Now I'm Tylenol free and on " pure "

narcotics.LOL And, um, gee, my numbers are all stabilizing (as in NOT getting

worse). I did lose four pints 'o blood two weeks ago (via varices) but my liver

enzymes, etc. are totally stabilized. I'm planning on keeping it there!

Insurance companies want us to a. die, so we won't cost them any more money; b.

magically get better so they won't have to spend any more money. It is NOT in

their best interest to keep us alive, what with the med costs, testing costs,

transplant costs, etc. As my insurance company says in its ads... " Take Charge

of Your Health, " because THEY sure as he!! aren't going to...LOL

The internet is our friend and I think it pi$$e$ off the medical profession that

we DARE to question them.
