Guest guest
Fibro people have chest wall pain. I used to describe it as feeling like someone was sitting on my chest. I don't have it any more nowthat I started a new treatment by Dr. Lowe (www.drlowe.com). I'm also not on any pain killers, just a sleep aid. I used to take Duragesic and OxyContin. Guest guest
I know about the chest pain... but have found no relief... even with Darvocet... have been checked THOROUGHLY for other problems.. it all comes back to Fibro... no matter what. My pain is worse in my rib area and more in my back but for some it goes the other direction... wish I knew the solution for you. Guest guest
Just a quick questions, if you have fatty tissue around your heart, would that show up on a echocardiagrahm, or ct scan?? I have had at least 10 ekgs, echocardiagrham, and ct scans, x-ray, all came back fine, saying that heart was normal size, and no abnormals. I took the new muscle relator skelaxin the doc gave me yesterday, and WOW did that help me out lastnight, its 800mgs, and woke up and my chest isn't tight this morning, or hurting. I can't believe it, I am so happy not to have one place hurting me, since the rest of my body does, lol. Hugs to you all and thanks so much for the support!! My chest almost > always hurts me,<< Yep, I have it too.....left side predominate. Scared me out of my wits when it first started, thought it was my heart. I had my heart checked out and it is fine..so must be the fibromyalgia; or the costochondritis. Mine hurts almost all the time, though I do have short periods of respite from it. But, even when it isn't " actively hurting " my chest feels like it is " stiff " or if I could just give it a good enough stretch it would feel much better. I'd love to be able to see what it would do if I took some pain meds...perhaps when I find a new doc I'll be able to see!!!!!! Guest guest
I too have chest pains, and when they hit, they hit hard. Stress seems to make them worse. Doc, finally after witnessing one gave me nitro to take, I went thru all the tests and wore a heart monitor for a week 1 time and for 2 weeks another time, even after all the test my heart looks good. And believe me with my family history of heart problems they really checked me out. Doc says that is the one good thing about fibro, no lasting effects, is it not degenerative. LUCKY us huh? Guest guest
All of that was why they did such tests on me, when it hits I can not move becasue of the pain, and then after it passes I just am soooo tired. but as I said I had test run on me that they don't normally do and they found nothing... I think thats a good thing, ha Jackie > Jackie, I have angina and keep nitro pills by my bed and in my purse and by the piano....where I teach. It comes quickly and violently. Guest guest
I was also told by my doc that it is normal to go into a depression after an angina attack. I feel wiped out, too, and usually have to stay in bed the next day. What a bore!!!!!!! Camilla Re: chest pain > > > I too have chest pains, and when they hit, they hit hard.
