Almost all of their radio communications is handled through the PD - which is dispatched out of a consolidated, county-wide PSAP. In the past, as stated, it was only within the Salinas City limits. This has been one of our most closely coordinated and positive cooperative efforts with allied agencies... that is, for a specific, recurring program. It will be interesting to see how it works out this year when they expand to the unincorporated area usually handled by the sheriff's office.
