Guest guest
Thanks Casey !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love those pictures. Zak is doing pretty good, they just took the vent tube out today. He didn't seem to be doing too good the first hour and I was sure he was going to buy the tube back, but he is still holding on without it. So keep up the prayers. Still don't know about whether or not he will have to have the trach, but we can hope and pray. Tryny is doing pretty good, the pneumonia is taking a toll on him but so far he is still at home and we're hoping to keep it that way. He doesn't understand where I am all day and I sure miss him terribly, but hopefully I can get Zak home soon where I can be with both my boys all day long. Gotta go for now, thanks again for the pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Debra
Guest guest
Dear Debra, You really do have your hands full now. I'm sure it is very hard for you to be away from Tryny meanwhile always worrying about Zak also. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I wanted to mention that one reason kids have problems with their airways causing the need for a trach can be a double aortic arch or vascular ring. When Kendra was 2 weeks old and had difficulty coming off of an intubation tube the reason was partly the narrowing caused by the vascular ring. Unfortunately in Kendra it was not correctly identified until she was two years old. Because of this, I always mention it in case it will ring a bell with someone else and ultimately lead to shorter time with a trach or possibly not needing a trach. Take good care of yourself also as you take good care of your sons. Best wishes, wendy Mom to Kendra, 13, , 19 and Camille, 21 Portland, OR
