Guest guest
Does anyone know how accurate doing IgE testing to assess for bee sting or wasp sting allergy is? The more I read about anaphylaxis, the scarier it is. UpToDate says that a large majority of people who die from anaphylaxis did not know they were allergic because the symptoms were subtle with the first sting. Even as minimal as itchy eyes or laryngitis. I was wondering if doing IgE testing would help differentiate true allergy from coincidence?
