Patti,

Your post hit home here! My husband has been battling a cold and cough for a

couple of weeks and I know what you mean about all that coughing and

sneezing, all those wadded up tissues and lets not forget all that

expectorating! He handles PSC better than the common cold! Not that I wish

to sound like anything less than the concerned and compassionate wife that I

am, but I wish he would get over it already!

Speaking of colds, I have just been recovering from one and I noticed

something that I had before. I rarely get a cold, and it usually isn't

too bad when I do, but the funny thing is that my PSC doesn't seem to

bother me as bad when I'm fighting one. I'd been quite fatigued and

just not doing very well for several weeks when I started noticing the

cold symptoms coming on, and just about the same time, my energy level

picked up and I was actually able to function better than I had been

before I got the cold. Now I'm pretty much over the cold, and today I

was pretty tired etc. again.

I'd noticed this before, but this time it has been quite a bit more

dramatic. Partly because I really didn't get very sick with the cold,

so it didn't knock my energy level down by itself, and partly because

I'd been having an especially hard time with fatigue from PSC just

before I got the cold.

Has anyone else noticed this going on? I know it could just be

coincidence, but I've noticed it several times already, and it really

does seem quite consistent.

Here's the irony.....I now have a sore throat and parts of my body that I

didn't know existed are aching......somehow I think I'm goona get

mine....However, he was well behaved at the concert last night, Only coughed

once, but he must have been going through hell cause when it was over, he

was a coughing machine.....we thought we'd take on the nick names 'dark

cloud'.....seems anything that can go wrong will, the two tallest, widest

guys (football players maybe?), sat in the two seats in front of us and

never shut up all night...oh and beside them, an ex-girlfriend of

Mike's......:)

Patti,

Sound like you are being punished for threatening Mike. And have gotten

yours already. Think by the sounds of things, you should have let Mike

cough all over your buddies in front of you. LOL

Mike wanted to tell the two knobs off in front of us...but I was quick to

point out that if one of them got ugly and punched him in the spleen, we'd

miss more than the concert.....so we handled it like the mature adults that

we are...we bitched about them all the way home in the car...I couldn't say

too much about the ex girlfriend since I have been openly in love with the

lead singer of the band...Mike was being a pretty good sport about my

grovelling....

I have been quietly snorting and snuffing and sneezing all day...I won't

give him the satisfaction of looking at me with that smug little grin of

his. So, tonight it will be me with the cold feet, throat slathered in

Vick's rub and smelling more like a nursing home resident than....well, the

young (?) chick that I am...LOL

The two in front of us? Well, that's a whole other story...on the way home

we kept going on about what we should have said or done...we were REAL tough

then!! I did get a poster and a key chain and of course have been acting

like a 16 years old all day listening to their tapes....it was nice to

forget about PSC for a few hours...

Patti,

Sounds like you had a great time! I hope the cough clears up soon, as my

husband was coughing for what seemed like months (although I am sure is was

only a week or two). Yes, it does sound like you are about to get what's

coming to you! Get out that little plastic bag and switch it to your side of

the bedpost!

Hope you are both feeling better real soon.
