Guest guest
I appreciate the welcome to the list and was thinking about whether to have the foot surgery or not and as with everything it is like Russian roulette sometimes. It is not major surgery. I have a neuroma on my foot that is causing me pain when I walk or wear shoes. It varies in intensity. I have to keep walking because I am at higher risk for osteoporosis from my stomach surgery. I also think it helps by releasing endorphins into my system and keeps my muscles stronger which helps to support my back. It is scary though and nothing is simple for me. I pray that I am making the right decisions for myself. I also had endometriosis for years and although I was scared to death to have another big surgery after the cancer surgery, I am truly glad I did because it gave me relief of at least that pain and helped my iron counts to normalize. In my case everything is different and it seems like most doctors don't know what to do with me when it comes to giving me any medication. For myself I have found that it is a combination of things that helps me if I get any relief at all. The doctors have to do their part but I have to work with what I have left and do my part too. I work hard at it and it takes alot of discipline (something that is not my strong suit). Anyway I try to take one day and one thing at a time otherwise it is too overwhelming.
