If it works for you, go for it.

I realized something last night. I was driving home by myself hungry

and thinking I have 2 more days left in my free week and I should eat

something unauthorized. I've been pretty much sticking to authorized

meals except on Saturday. Everything I could think of (frozen

custard, donuts, ice cream) I didn't really want. I was thinking,

how pathetic that I can't enjoy eating these things anymore, but then

realized I have it programmed into myself to wait until free day. If

I don't wait until free day, I can't won't enjoy it. I'll just feel

guilty. I realized what I really wanted was a Detour bar and carrots

so that is what I had when I got home.

Me too, it's like I need to be awakened.

Fortunately, I am not a twinkie lover, it's not even on my list of

sinful foods I like. More for you then.

Remember to " program " your mind in advance, so you know what it means

when you snap fingers, and what your trigger is for.

BTW, I ate steamed chicken & mixed veggies & brown rice in a Chinese

Restaurant, and ordered Young Chow Fried Rice to take home and froze

it for free day.

Jeff

Jeff:

I think that's a great idea. Sometimes the bad food seems to put me

in a trance-like state and what the heck snapping my fingers wouldn't

bother me one bit if it stops me from eating a twinkie!!

Andy:

Fried Twinkies? Uggggh. I think that is a sure ride on the fast

track to death! I thought a regular twinkie was bad. Well it just

goes to show you how creative people can be. Always trying to think

of a new way to prepare an existing food. ;) Glad you didn't try

one.

WOO!! Just getting through day to day things without freaking out is hard

enough! Let alone trying to go with manic popcorn crunchers or the STUPID gum

people who think they will die without literally KILLING their gum.

tata for now!! :)

there was for the Xmas show and I ran out..people were eating popcorn around

me...sounds so stupid...but today I had to do this...I put silicon earplugs in

my pocket...it helped SO MUCH...I hate my life...it all worked out but still..I

HATE MY LIFE...I feel so embarassed....no one else knows what I had to do to get

through this extremely boring event...but I did it!! That made me happy .... I

Funny you should ask this today!  I came downstairs this morning to find our wall clock upside down on the floor with it's battery removed!  My son had woken up earlier than everyone and couldn't stand the ticking.  I guess it's time to go all digital...

My son is the one with it, yes.  I'm on here for ideas to help him (and us) cope.  It turns out my father has it too, which answers to the genetic thread that was going on last week.

So does your son have this too? Or what?ï§ Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by Alltel

Another thing you could try is have a like noise maker thing or CD to listen to all night. I have an I pod touch and a dock in my room and u listen to pink noise all night long or like a rain storm. I have it set for 12 hours so I will always have noise. Otherwise I could not sleep Sent from my BlackBerry Smartphone provided by AlltelFrom: crazeedrummer_94@...Date: Sun, 16 May 2010 00:09:59 +0000To: <Soundsensitivity >Subject: Re: triggers

Ha ha, yeah I know... it's a little strange to love crickets chirping. I live

on a farm in rural Iowa so I have crickets in the warm summer months, but it's

pretty quiet here. I lived in Michigan before that in the woods with a river in

my backyard There were LOTS of crickets and other bugs that made all sorts of

noise at night and I loved it. I got used to that. That's why I have a CD of

crickets now is because it's too quiet here (other than the occasional 'moo'

from the cows). LOL.

I also find nature sounds soothing. Birds don't seem to bother me either, except

for one really annoying bird I used to hear when I lived in Ohio. Dogs barking

bother me once in a while but not always. I had gone years without having a

ticking clock in my room. I recently got one, and it distracted me at first, but

I got used to it and can sleep without a problem. Now if it were someone else's

clock, it might have more potential to annoy me--funny how that works, isn't it?

Keyboard clicking doesn't bother me either, although texting on cell phones is

more bothersome, especially if it's in an inappropriate environment. One of my

friend mentioned that she was going to get a touch-screen, but decided not to

because she likes to hear the sound of the keys. Ahhh! To each his own!
