Hi everyone,

I posted this question to Biddy in a response to one of her e-mails but I'm

curious and hope I can get some answers. Okay, got some lab back,

his amonia level is 80, bad I assume. But, since he " stopped " his beer, he

isn't having the " brain fog " really and his balance and such is much better.

Dr. prescribed the Lactulose 2x day. How long do you usually have to take

this stuff? He started yesterday and already has had some diarrhea which he

is already complaining about, hemmi's and such. Also, just to update a bit,

I saw the Dr. 2 weeks ago and had my yearly exam, YUK!!! everything came back

okay, talked to the Dr about what has been going on at home, she suggested

the Paxil, so far no real noticable changes other than I don't feel quite so

stressed and sad. That could be because things are a bit better but I'm

afraid that might change again. has had a few beers last few days

and that of course pisses me off royally. It's all I can do not to start a

fight because it's not good for the kids. Don't know what to do, I am very

frustrated, he thinks that a few here and there won't hurt, duh, look at his

amonia level. Problem is a few always leads to more eventually. I get so

frustrated I just want to say f--- it and leave with the kids. I don't feel

I can do this though because otherwise he is a good father and we're all he

really has. Anyway, thanks for letting me " cry " on y' alls shoulders. It

took me a while to get to the computer this week, my son has a birthday and

It has been crazy around work, waiting for the Dr.s wife to have her baby and

not knowing from day to day whether we'll have to cancel pt. appts. Finally

happened Friday though so now we know we won't have a Dr. in the office next

week.

Y'all take care and Lynn, hang in there, hopefully it won't be as bad as we

let ourselves think! My prayers are with you. And Steve, sorry about the

sausage thing, I love them myself, glad I don't have to avoid them. I

probably should since I don't need the extra fat myself, I big enough as it

is. LOL!!!
