As ong as you keep the temperature below the boiling point. The

boiling point for Gkycerin is about 554F ( 290C)

You're probably thinking of niroglycerin. This should be of no concern

to homecrafters creating personal care products. As I recall, you have

to react Nitric Acid and Glycerin to make nitroglycerin.
