Guest guest
As to the sleep study, maybe you also have sleep apthea? I do and the Constant Positive Air Pressure (CPAP) machine has made all the difference. Good luck and keep look at it as an adventure. Have fun, Lynette lmthib@... This should be quite interesting. I can't fall asleep or stay asleep in my OWN bed, so I'm wondering how they're expecting me to fall asleep in a strange place, in a strange bed, hooked up to montitors with people observing me! I seriously don't think they are going to find an obvious cause for my sleep problems, other than the fact that I have Fibro and bipolar disorder. Both cause major sleep problems alone, so put them together, and you have a major whammy!

Guest guest
Lynette, I know I don't have sleep apnea already. I don't snore, or stop breathing when I'm sleeping...my husband would have told me these things already, believe me! My problem is more one of not being able to fall asleep when I go to bed, or stay asleep despite meds. I've had to change meds several times already because I either become immune to them quickly or they just don't work. My psych is sending me pretty much because he wants them to study my brain waves....something or other about delta waves I believe. While that may solve the not staying asleep problem, I don't think it will do much for not being able to fall asleep in the first place. But like I said, I'm starting to work on things, in a more complementary approach, and getting back to really listening to my body, so hopefully things will start to straighten themselves out. Thanks for your input. I really appreciate it! Jen PS...I try to look at the things they put me through as an adventure...otherwise I'd end up very frustrated and aggravated!
