How do I know for sure that these symptoms are signs of bleeding varices? Do you have to have all these symptoms? The reason I'm asking is because for the past couple of weeks I've been extremely tired (a lot more than usual), had twinges in abdomen, low grade fevers, and yesterday I had some nausea. Last night I got light-headed, felt like I was going to faint at any moment. (I had fainting spells a lot the first of the year). I laid down with a cold towel on my head. When I got up this morning I still had the same feeling, As long as I was laying down I was okay. Standing and sitting seemed to make it worse. I'm having a lot of confusion too. Having trouble with that now as I'm trying to type this. I just can't think clearly, so if this doesn't make any since you'll know why. I was thinking it was vertigo since I've had that before. But now you've got me wondering. I'm not trying to jump to conclusions here but I take what you say to heart because my doctor isn't a reliable source of information on what to expect as this disease progresses. If you're wondering I did go to the doctor when I was having the fainting spells because during one I actually lost 30 mins and injured my back when I fell. (That's still a big mystery) After that I had another episode where the room started spinning and as it got worse I began spinning with it. As I was trying to sit down so I wouldn't fall again my eyes and head started jerking like someone having a seizure. Scared me to death. My GP sent me to the hospital to have test run on my head to make sure I hadn't had a seizure. No signs of a seizure so they don't know what happened to me. Do you have any ideas on this?
