I just heard back from a doctor friend in Bosnia, and she confirms your answer

regarding the first line:

ml means lunar month, so this means she was between her 9th and 10th month of

pregancy (as mentioned elsewhere, 38 weeks + 2 days)

> > Status post SC aa X.

aa is an abbreviation for ante annos, so aa X means 10 years ago (her previous

cesarean was 10 years ago). Further, she said that

aa X = before X years; am X = before X months; ad X = before X days

Djordjevic's Serbian/Croatian-English dictionary has the abbreviation a.a.f.

(ante annos factam), but I guess not everyone uses the same abbreviation style.

I'll do my best to see that these terms and abbreviations are in the next

edition!

She confirmed that this line indicates the woman's " para " status and that this

would indicate the pregnancy of an older woman.
