Guest guest
Hello Everyone: We were all ready to leave the transplant center today after 30 days of being here. We made arrangements yesterday for my husband to be transferred to a nursing/rehab facility today. Dialysis was arranged for tues, thurs and saturday at a facility close to the rehab center. I had my husband up, dressed and was all packed when the social worker on call came in and said we couldn't go because the dialysis would not be available until thurs. He had dialysis on fri. (yesterday). The kidney drs felt that was too long to wait in between dialysis treatments, so now we are here for the weekend. (imagine if a liver came in during that time?) I have noticed a vast improvement in my husband's condition over the past 3 days. His ammonia levels are really good, his mind is clear and the swallowing issues have cleared up. His appetite is much better. I am wondering if dialysis has anything to do with this. Anyone out there have an opinion on this?
