for Behentrimonium Methosulfate?

I know from experience that castor oil used in an emulsion will not alone

detangle the hair ... I believe, and please correct me if I am wrong, that

the ammonium product in the Behentrimonium Methosulfate contrubutes to much

of the detangling. Ok maybe I am saying that wrong. I am guessing it is

the byproduct that is made by sulfonating the oil and treating it with the

ammonium product. It is much like a surfactant when I use it. Geez I miss

Maurice and Angie. What a shame they are not present anymore.
