Hi Judy, I am so thankful you have a wonderfully supportive hubby and

family. That makes so much difference in how we are able to cope. Although

I lost my husband last year (to liver disease), I have two wonderful sisters

and brothers-in-law as well as a niece and 4 nephews who are so special and

help me out every day.

Like you I am in the early stages of cirrhosis. I am not taking the

lactulose yet, but feel it probably won't be very long before that must

begin. I have finally found a wonderful Hepatologist and that has made all

the difference for me. The doctor that we used with my husband has

relocated is practice to Ft. and I've had a hard time finding

another that could even remotely compare to him.

I think you have a good understandingn of what goes on with this disease and

have a good support system in place, as well as a doctor who is ready and

willing to help you. These are all great assets in dealing successfully

with this disease. I look forward to getting to know you better and our

mutual aid to each other.

Please know I am praying for you and your family.

Many hugs...................

Diane C from TN
