911 calls from universities

Hi,

I have to wade in on the question about whether any police agency with

college w/in jurisdiction, and has own police dept., still answers 9-1-1

calls from the university...Here in Sacramento, we automatically receive

all 9-1-1 calls, be they from CSU-Sacramento (where I started my

dispatching career) or from State of California buildings/offices

within our city limits. And there is almost nothing more confused

than a State employee (cept for CHP Dispatchers, of course)

who still can't figure out how to make an 'outside call.'
