Guest guest
> I have a customer whose sister is " allergic to Vit E " . She wants one of the creams I make made without it for her. Beth, do you know if she is allergic to Vitamin E (aka alpha Tocoperol) or Vitamin E Acetate (aka Tocopheryl Acetate) or both? Guest guest
Hi Maurice, Sorry, I don't know. She's not local to me. I can email my customer and ask.... I have not dealt with the sister at all. At the risk (certainty) of sounding ignorant, how would being allergic to one type and not the other affect her? Which is in the meadowfoam and rice bran oils? If she is allergic to the Vitamin E ester, Tocopheryl Acetate, then you can use Vitamin E in your formula. If she is allergic to Tocopherol, then you may have a problem with even Tocopheryl Acetate since it is bioconverted to Tocopherol in the body. Im guessing, but Ill bet she is allergic to Tocopheryl Acetate and not Tocopherol. > Which is in the meadowfoam and rice bran oils? Tocopheryl Acetate is synthetic and is not found in nature. Guest guest
Thank you so much, Maurice. I will ask, and see what I can find out.
