Guest guest Posted June 7, 2006 Report Share Posted June 7, 2006 Everyone, I have an upcoming surgery 12 hours away from my home that will last from 9-14 hours long. They are removing my pancreas and my spleen in a surgery called tp/ict. I will be recovering in the hospital in Minnesota for two weeks after surgery. For anyone that doesn't know, I have chronic pancreatitis that was brought on by gallbladder removal. I was never a drinker (cause most believe that alcoholism is the reason for pancreatitis). Matter of fact, my husband and I are deacons at our church and were and are actively involved. I am just asking for prayers for a successful surgery and quick recovery, as we have three children ages 12, 10 and 8. I still have to go through the teenage yrs with them and I look forward to that(: Anyway, I appreciate the prayers in advance and I know that the Lord will be guiding my doctors hands. Thanks!! I hope your recovery will be quite short and you come home to those kids sooner. We will all be here when you get home. I had pancreatitis in 2002, I know how painful it is and I can only imagine the pain you must go through. Please know that all of us here are thinking of you.
