So do some other blood programs. So print out the original message so you have the right name and location and go down to your local bloodmobile or center and give up a unit. Even better, loosen the tourniquet so you bleed real fast and get a head rush. Maybe that's what's wrong wit me..... Calls occur randomly... all at the same time. Guest guest
Back in 1989, the chief or one of our adjoining fire departments suffered fatal injuries in an industrial accident at the trucking company where he was employed. In the 20 hours before he succumbed, the hospital gave him something like 75 pints of blood (does that sound right?) which required replacement. Because of that the fire departments in our area found that if they sponsored just one annual blood bank that all of their members would be covered in full and the families of those donating would be covered. In addition any citizen who donated at our location would be fully covered in the same manner. It is sad to say that a tragedy is usually needed to prompt action, and while it may be too late for this incident I'd suggest checking out these possibilities with your local blood banks.
