Guest guest
Sandy, I read recently that both the presence of fibroids and the presence of endometriosis can cause elevated CA125 without cancer being present. (Sorry, don't remember where I read it.) I'd try to get a doctor to give you a copy of the ultrasound report to check on the actual number, location and size of the fibroids. The info you've gotten so far sounds very vague. Re: the cyst on the ovaries, again try to get more definite info on what type of cyst, etc. My own opinion is that I would avoid having the ovaries removed unless there is a really serious reason. It will put you into permature menopause, and leave you open to all sorts of meno-related symptoms.
