Tx Eval Day -

Thanks Luanne and Rosie,

The prayers must've really worked, because what I thought would be an

extremely stressful, emotional day went very smoothly.

could never think of any questions of his own, and often said to the

doctor " yeah, I know that " So I guess we've educated him quite well on the

subject. I don't think he really knew how much medication he would be on

post tx, something we'd never discussed with him. He was very fidgety when

the social worker was in there discussing " emotions and feelings " .

Sometimes when the various people were talking, he appeared to not be paying

attention but I know he hears a lot more than we think he's paying attention

to.

We were really surprised that the doctor was looking to see if he meets

enough of the criteria to be listed at 2b. YIKES! I'm not emotionally

ready for that! Sometimes I wonder if he meets some criteria that we are

not aware of, ie Ascites - he seems to have a big belly but I don't know if

that's just the way he is or if it's ascites. (apparently, there's a whole

different set of criteria for children - I would be interested in seeing it)

The committee meets on Thursdays but won't this week cuz 's doc is out

of town that day. We won't know until next Thursday whether or not he's

accepted on the list. I hope for his sake that he's accepted, I know it

would really upset him to find out that he would not be on the list after

all. (He just wants to get it all over with)

We are praying for God's perfect timing.
