Guest guest
i think i exchanged mail with you kathy earlier this year - i'm pretty sure you have hte cad iv with the gui overlay from what you've said. we have cad v - the win9x.x product that really isn't - and its a royal pain in the butt. i do believe we're dropping it from our center as soon as possible. ongoing problems: you can't launch any other program from a shortcut while cad is running. the new program just sits in the background until you close cad - THEN it launches. location search crashes the system every time if you use it and another program is running - any other program that is..... info is not getting through to the officer's reporting side the clearance codes / incident disposition codes don't make it through at all the fire package that its supposed to work with doesn't when they transferred our data from our old product - also theirs (hte cad iv) they really made a mess out of it the copy over from the 911 interface doesn't work properly - puts things in the wrong fields on the incident information (address, etc) we still haven't been able to program it to suggest response units, mostly due to the fact that we can't sign on more than one unit to the same " beat " as it calls it - thus we've had to specify " beats " for different officer units for each shift. its a holy mess. there is no way of tracking MV registrations that have involvements in incidents - traffic stops, suspicious vehicles, etc. the only registrations we can query on are vehicles towed. the fire side is a nightmare - cross streets have to be put in for EVERY SINGLE ADDRESS INDIVIDUALLY (like 3,5,7,9 Elm St, etc etc etc) there are no options for 'nearest hydrant' info shall i continue?????? diane > In a message dated 11/5/00 6:45:05 PM Mountain Standard Time, > jjones@... writes: > > << Hoping to get the > windows based version 5 in late 2001.
