Guest guest Posted November 5, 2000 Report Share Posted November 5, 2000 Okay this is going back a few years, but this call tops all (0330am)9-1-1 line rings, Female on the phone reporting her 9 year old in full arrest. Partner gets ems enroute and I start my pre arrival. Mother does not know cpr so I start from scratch, have her pull the child off the bed onto the floor, ask if anyone else is with her and so on and so on. She is alone and this is her only child. Asked us to contact her husband at work, and my partner does. Ems gets there and can not get into the house. I ask the caller if there are any open windows or doors, she said No all locked up. Asked her to go open the door, she refused, did not want to stop cpr, stated to me to break in anyway they can get in. Fire guys do there thing and break the door down. Ems gets to her room to find that she is doing CPR on her Bed pillow. Turns out she was dreaming, Called 9-1-1 and was asleep the entire time she was on the phone with me doing cpr on her pillow.
