Good Morning All,

Just want to report that we had, from the EFL book, the Zesty Chicken

for dinner last night and the Strawberry Cheesecake (w/ a little

extra splenda) for meal 6. Both were awesome. I couldn't have been

happier w/ my food yesterday. For those who weren't thrilled w/ the

cheesecake, I don't know if it makes any difference, but I made ours

a day ahead of time so it was really cold and set when we tasted it.

Both are on our favorite list!

Hope everyone is having an amazing day!

Amy,

I took the Strawberry Cheesecake to school today for my snack and I LOVED

it! I'm not sure if I got used to it or if it does taste better a day or

two later. Did I tell y'all the Chicken Noodle Soup was wonderful? Next,

Asian Stir Fry and then the chicken quesidillas. Oh, and I have bananas

freezing now for the Anyday Sundae. :-)

oooohhhh! we had the Asian Stir Fry tonight.... that's A LOT of food... We had a

ton left over... we made it EXACTLY as the recipe calls and it fed me, my

husband, my 13 year old daughter (who loved it!), my 6 year old and my 2 year

old... I don't understand the portions on this one. It was supposed to be 4

portions, but we have at least another serving and a half left over... it was a

huge, yummy plate of food! I'm loving this!!

Let us know how the Anyday Sundae turns out for you. I didn't let

the bananas freeze long enough I guess and it was runny. I'll try

freezing them overnight next time. I liked it even though it was

runny.

I'd say this is a case where you can just use your good judgement on

the portions. Everyone's portion size will be different. The portion

sizes list in EFL are average portions for both male and females at

404 calories. If you divide it into average male portions it is

about 3 servings and female portions is 5 servings so that is how the

average comes out to 4 servings for both. You can see why Bill

decided to leave out the nutrition information since this gets

confusing. I did some calculations from the Eating for Life website

to determine this.
