Guest guest
I am wondering if any of you have problems with Candida. I am wondering if there is any connection between fibroids and Candida. Also, I have had a white discharge since I've had this fibroid and wonder if any of you do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Guest guest
Yes, I too have fought the battle with yeast. I'm no medical expert, but if fibroids are associated with hormonal imbalances, and hormonal imbalances are related to yeast.... it make sense. As far as the white discharge... when I take the herb echinecia (which is great by the way for chronic yeast) I notice that the yeast literally melts away and causes a milky discharge. I know, gross. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
Regarding echinacea... First, before taking any herbal remedy, I highly recommend getting a book written by a respectable author to better understand the herb's purpose and contraindications. Having considered (and purchased) many of these types of books, I found " Herbal Prescriptions for Better Health " by Brown, N.D., very good. Now to answer your question... Echinacea is reported to boost the immune system and, therefore, help combat recurrent infections. I take four capsules per day; two in the morning and two with dinner. I do this for 6-8 weeks, then take 2 weeks off. If I feel like I'm run-down or as though I'm getting a cold/flu, I increase to one capsule every two hours for a few days. Oh, be mindful that you should not take it if you have an autoimmune illness, tuberculosis or multiple sclerosis. I guess because with these illnesses, the immune system can actually work against you. I still have very low grade yeast, but I've found this herb to minimize the symptoms to a very tolerable level. I know it works for me because when I get slack and forget a dose or two... bang... the yeast begins to overgrow again. Just to let you know, I've tried all the other Rx and OTC remedies (even the really weird ones). I admit, Diflucan is wonderful, but it is a drug and it is expensive. If you give echinacea a try, I hope it works as well for you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------

Guest guest
re the yeast thing -- have you thought about cutting down on white flour & sugar? i.e., white bread, pasta, candy, ice cream, etc... these help weaken the immune system, add yeast ingredients to the system (esp. sugar & refined carbos), make the liver work harder to eliminate them, which means extra estrogen for fibroids may go unopposed longer ... just some , you know, food for thought johanna ------------------------------------------------------------------------
