Guest guest
Another thing I was thinging. We have from what I seen about 600 members. I dont think it would be a bad idea for everyone to put a $5.00 bill in a xmas card and send it to drew. We all do that 600 memebers you are looking at around $3,000.00. Now im sure that would help out alot for our fellow dispatcher that will not be able to do alot of xmas shopping this year due to medical bill's. I dont think this is to much to ask, but maybe im wrong. If this is gonna work, we will almost the entire list support. Im for helping a fellow dispatcher that is down and out for the holidays. Its not like she asked for this to happen. So what does everyone think? Can we pull this off Jim from North East Ohio LifeCare Ambulance E-mail LifeCare449@... Guest guest
" Or how about also sending one from all of us to that dispatcher that was in the crash month or so ago...I'm sure that would cheer up her Holiday season. " Sincerely, Kathy Sr. Communications Officer Atlanta Police Dept. 9-1-1 Dear Kathy and members of the list, Dru is going to be going back in the hospital today (Friday) for additional surgery. It is minor but they have to put a plate in her jaw since both sides of the jaw was broken. It will be an overnight stay. She is still in considerable pain, and the time away from work is bothering her also. She is feeling she won't be able to get back and be at the same level as before the accident. She listens to a the scanner and they are changing all the codes and re-districting the patrol zones which adds to the anxiety. She went by and saw friend for a short bit when going down for the pre-opt check. The doctors told her it would be 3-4 months, and it has been about 7 weeks since the accident. The depression is also working on her. She has been on crutches and it makes getting around a little more difficult. If anyone would like to send her a card, her address is: Drusilla (Dru) 1292 Apt. B Fieldstone Rd sville, NC 28115 I know she would appreciate your cards. Thanks for keeping her in your thoughts. Larew Cornelius Police Department Iredell County Emergency Communications NC911@... Guest guest
<< to put a $5.00 bill in a xmas card>>> I'm game....YOU decide when to start sending and let me/us know..but you gotta get a bunch of joiners so it will come as a giant flood not a little drip that could do more damage than good. Guest guest
Perhaps, what is needed is a central clearing house type thing...everyone that wants in sends their card etc to the selected person by a certain date...then, that person bags/boxes all the cards etc up and sends at one time.....just a possible suggestion....
