Guest guest
That's ok, even the poll workers lack some luster. I just got back from voting, in my " ward " there are three Ayarss'. The worker actually argued with me about which one I was!!! I said, " my middle initial is 'F' and I live on Cook Avenue. " She replied, " no, F Ayars lives on Crossland Avenue, you can't be him. " I know the other two 's, I am the only one with F as a middle initial. It took 5 minutes and three poll workers before they would let me vote. . . . . . she was a tall woman, and I think she works for the government, . .. . I smell conspiracy!! F (J. Fred) Ayars paranoid and definitely living on Cook Avenue !! Guest guest
The kinds of questions that people ask regarding voting make me wonder if they SHOULD be voting. I am not sure that I want decisions of this magnitude made by people who still don't know that a phone number is 7 digits. God help us this election day. Stacey K. Guest guest
You won't believe this....it's 5:00 in the evening here and we've had three people call and ask where they vote. One wanted to know if it's too late to register to vote *duh?*; the second wanted to know which precint that she votes at. When I told her to call the board of elections, she didn't understand how to dial thier extention. She thought that 99125 was their phone number! (Where do these people come from!?!?) and the third wanted to know if today is when we vote...huh? Don't these people pay attention? I tell you, people just need to stop and think! Guest guest
On election evening, we had officers doing traffic control before city hall (1 of our 2 voting places). First, the officer pulls over a DUI. Then, when one of the other officers directs a woman to turn a certain direction, she tells them, " No, I am not going that way " ..then, proceeds to hit the officer and drive off. Two arrests in just a little time while doing traffic control! The funniest part though....the DUI advised the officer at 630pm that all he wanted was to finish up so he could go home and vote for ___________!! We were all just rolling!! Guess that is one vote that didn't get made yesterday!! Freida La Vergne, TN doctree@... wrote: > " At least one lick of common sense should be a requirement > for voters.
