I'm not sure, a friend of mine heard of something like that. It was some

sort of suplement that you would take that helps improve how your cells are

communicating with each other. She wanted to get Andy to take it and see if

it would improve his mobility and other things, but we weren't able too. It

was too expensive for us and while she tried to see if the church would be

willing to fund the trial that didn't work.

Did anyone else get this, if so what do you think?

I did. But I got it off the Spinal Cord Injury List I am on. Not in private

Email nor on the Tethered Cord List. I didn't pass it on to this List, as I

didn't think many would be interested. I haven't had a chance to read it

myself.

Hi,

I have not checked out the link but I did get the post concerning this subject.

What concerns me is that it could be a scam!!

I would not buy any supplement that mentions that it could improve mobility or

is a trial to see if it could work.

The only one that could gain from some scams like this could be, is the person

doing the scam.

I'm not saying that this is a scam but be aware that it could be one.

Hey all,

I dont see anywhere where you are supposed to buy or even try something.

From what I see, all they want is support to get OEG research to go into

human clinical trials as soon as possible. Apparently Reeve has

some pull in this area. It is not very long, so I will just paste it here:

Attention: OEG are not derived from human fetal tissue.

(To) Reeve, Chairman Reeve Paralysis Foundation

Dear Sir,

Amidst all the controversy and promise surrounding stem cells there is a

silent victory developing for spinal cord injury in labs in the United

States and around the world. Unlike the newly discovered stem cell

technology, a very special cell technology, OEG (olfactory ensheathing

glia) is coming of age right now. OEG are a very versatile type of cell

that has proven itself to be a very effective material for autologous

transplantation and restoration of function in spinal cord injury. There

is a wealth of scientific data on OEG to support this position. This

technology is over 10 years in the making and those with spinal cord injury

and their supporters want OEG to go into human clinical trials as soon as

possible..

We the community of individuals with spinal cord injuries and their

supporters would like to accomplish the following goals:

First, greater public awareness of OEG and its indications for spinal cord

injury in the media. The world should know about OEG.

Second, increased and targeted institutional funding for human clinical

trials of OEG transplants in spinal cord injury

Third, increased and targeted government funding for human clinical trials

of OEG transplants in spinal cord injury.

And finally, those with expertise with OEG technology in the medical

research community should take action now to move OEG transplants into

human clinical trials.

We the undersigned believe, that it is in the best interest of the

advancement of human progress and the compassionate interest of humanity to

act upon the aforesaid goals and make human clinical trials of OEG

transplants in spinal cord injury a reality.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Spinal Cord Injury Cure Project
