Guest guest
Well, the nurse from the new doctor's office called late yesterday. She wanted to know the contact numbers for my Internist and Cardiologist. Seems some of lab results were not good they needed to forward the results to the other doctors. My blood sugar was over 900 and my blood clotting factor was much, much too HIGH! You might know if there's one person with cirrhosis that is going to buck the usual, it's going to be ME! Internist's office called today; will have to get in to see him before the end of the week and Cardiologist's office left message for me to call them tomorrow. The liver results were as he expected them to be, some were a small bit worse than the last test, but he still thinks I'm ok for right now. The nurse reiteratied that it is VITAL that I follow up with the other doctors and that I keep my return appt. to see Dr. Sloas again in May. They are searching for a doctor in Memphis who can do my stimulator adjustments for me so I won't have to drive all the way in to Nashville for that. It may well be that this new doctor is going to work out much better than I thought at first. So, I don't know how the diabetes will be handled now, guess I'll find out when I see my Internist later in the week. I'm pretty sure he's going to want to put me on insulin and that scares me. When I'm vomiting frequently, I don't know how in the world I'll keep myself from going into insulin shock. Hopefully, he will have thought that through and will have some suggestions. I know I'll have to do something to get my blood clotting factors under control because it endangers my stent viability. More pills, I suppose! I swear, I'm going to turn into one HUGE pill if I keep going! Thinking of and praying for all of you........ -- Warm Hugs..........
