Guest guest
I'm psychic! I dozed in and out, missing parts of programs I was trying to stay awake through, until midnight! Then I woke up to take my medicine and am now wide awake. I tried sitting up, laying back, getting up, walking around and sitting back down..... I still would come to, realizing I'd been dozing. Someone on my Sjogren's group said they only had 75% of normal blood volume, I don't know how one finds that out, but blood does flow to the stomach to work on digestion. I ate at a Thai restaurant tonight and ate probably 2.5-3 times the amount of food I would eat in a normal day so I guess my Fatigue decided I needed the rest after that meal! I rarely have more than the breakfast bar and banana and tea for breakfast, perhaps a small snack in the afternoon and then a cup and a half to two cups of food late in the evening for supper (no wonder I can't get my weight back up, but I just don't have the appetite or feel like eating), so tonight's supper ought to last me at least 3 days! I've wondered about taking an Adderal or Ritalin before eating in the evening to see if it would keep me from passing out like that. I'm going to ask my neurologist that next time I see him as he's the one who prescribed the meds to combat fatigue. I don't like the way they make me feel when I come down so rarely use them, only when I'm going to a meeting or such, where I know I must be attentive. Luckily I've learned to record those programs I want to watch, so tomorrow I'll be able to go through them and not feel so chagrined! BJK -------------------------------------------------------- I ate out tonight and a couple nights ago at a friend's house and got really worn out after dinner until finally telling my wife it was time to go home. I have a feeling that if I lay back in my chair this evening, I'll be out in no time! Guest guest
Yup I do and a month ago I could have told you what it is called. Basically we only have so much energy and digestion takes up energy so your body is robbing to pay . Smaller meals helps but I take metformin and not eating enough when you take them is well abdominally painful. > > Hi all, > Pretty much the entire time I've been ill but diagnosed and in treatment - some things have become much better for me, but due to stresses in my life, things .. hang on, you know? > Ok; what happens is this .. can eat almost any meal and find that after I am ... ready for nap time! Drives me nuts. Doesn't happen so much if I am eating out with someone -or not as bad..e
Guest guest
Hi, I've found that if I get sleep I've probably had too many carbs. It doesn't happen so much with proteins and fats. Just a thought: it sounds like your digetion is demanding more energy than it normally should. Pineapple has enzymes that aid digestion, so that's a clue. Have you tried taking a digestive enzyme supplement with your meals? Good luck! > > Hi all, > Pretty much the entire time I've been ill but diagnosed and in treatment - some things have become much better for me, but due to stresses in my life, things .. hang on, you know? > Ok; what happens is this .. can eat almost any meal and find that after I am ... ready for nap time! There seem to be some things which I can eat and I won't become so tired, but unfortunately these aren't meals. I can eat a large helping/ medium helping, whatever of some sort of fruit, such as fresh pineapple. > Does not happen at bed time, of course, but that does not matter then.. It's just during the day when I need to get on with things that it is maddening! > I mean .. you o want to eat before going out and not feel so damn sleepy. That is my most annoying symptom at this point; the tired card, but cannot at the moment switch protocols due to what I can afford.
Guest guest
I agree with Rita. I've been on the Body Ecology Diet for almost 5 months, and I am not to eat protein with dinner. The idea is that protein is harder to digest. So carbs at night, protein during the day. I am sleeping better AT NIGHT. I think fruit is probably okay for you during the day because it has sugar! Hope this helps. > > > > Hi all, > > Pretty much the entire time I've been ill but diagnosed and in treatment - some things have become much better for me, but due to stresses in my life, things .. hang on, you know? > > Ok; what happens is this .. can eat almost any meal and find that after I am ... ready for nap time!
