Thanks Andy. What is CLA?

You could try adding more carbs and see if it helps. I think it's

okay to tweak BFL if you know it isn't working. You've been doing

this for a long time and know what works and what doesn't. I added

more carbs to my meals this challenge and I've had to up them again.

I'm still eating EFL recipes other than at work. I purchased several

kinds of whole grain, no sugar cereals that I mix in my yogurt.

Hugh has been having a problem getting his weight down. He seems to

be stuck at around 20% bodyfat. I'm going to start him 4 g of CLA per

day for 45 days and see what happens. We aren't going to change

anything else. I keep hearing all these great testimonials on other

BFL lists about CLA so I am going to have him try it.

It is Conjugated Linoleic acid, a fat. The CLA caps you can buy are

generally get their CLA from Safflower oil. We already get some CLA

in our diet, but not as much as 30 years ago since changes in beef and

dairy cattle feed (from pasture grasses to forage) have reduced their

production of CLA by 65%.

Your workout looks great:) I can't wait for the day that I will be

able to do legpress again. My knees still won't allow me to do such

things. Having said that, I will probably be having an MRI on my left

knee next month because it is giving me some of the same problems my

right knee did:) Such joy!

Hope you have a great workout:0)

***WARNING! Not for newbies!!!***

Kels, my precious! I'm hypoglycemic too. Just a note of

encouragement here.... I have changed my ratio of carbs/protein over

the last 6 months. I'm at about 50-55% carbs, 30-35% protein and 15-

20% fat, depending on the day. I was stuck, stuck, STUCK following

the 40/40/20 of BFL. Plus I was really burnt out on it after 3

years. :\ I have been losing BF (that's " bodyfat " not " boyfriend "

LOL) slow-but-steady since switching the ratios. Workouts have been

just great, and I'm feeling better, on a more even keel blood-sugar

wise.

It might be time for you to switch things up a bit. Also, I

probably don't need to tell you this, but your Free Days should NOT

be all-out binges. That will only make your blood sugar swings

during the week even worse. I honestly can't remember what you said

your Free Days are like, but hopefully they are mostly BFL-ish with

a few treats thrown in (and NEVER eat sugars without first eating

some protein). :)

Good luck! You CAN have that awesome bod sweetie!!!!
