Thanks, Vern, for pointing out the not-so-obvious about the hiring bonus.

You hire the dispatcher for low pay, no holidays, all types of

shifts, and then give $1,500 to the person who signed them up? And

then the two work side-by-side? Hey, I'd like to be there for <that>

shift!

Somehow, this sounds great when applied to other, higher-paying jobs,

but not to this situation.
