Guest guest Posted March 9, 2010 Report Share Posted March 9, 2010 'Tis the season for sore throats and cough drops. Does anyone else here have " issues " with cough drops like I do? Cough drops present a myriad of auditory and visual and even smell " triggers. " The mere crinkling paper sound of someone unwrapping and cough drop and then the SOUND.. I think it's almost as bad as gum... The sound of the sucking and slurping and the clicking against teeth and the gulping.. All punctuated with intermittent throat clearing... Then more sucking... The visual of the person moving their mouth around to suck the cough drop. The smell of fake cherry or menthol coming from the mouth... UGH.
