Guest guest
Tess, I used to get horrendous leg cramps all the time. I had a doctor tell me that I need more potassium in my diet that being hypoglycemic that it takes the potassium out of my body at a faster rate then I could put it in with diet alone. He advised me to take a supplement and to eat foods that are potassium rich. I eat a banana every day not only for potassium but fiber and I eat potatos. This helps curb my leg cramps and charlie horses in the legs. If this doesn't stop them completely then I take a potassium supplement - usually 1000 mg for a couple days and they seem to ease up and go away. i wish you luck. I have talked with my RA about this and for me she told me it was okay. I would advise asking your doctor about it also. God bless, Althea
